People!
Allow me the honor to be one of the first to say Happy 4/20, to you, friend! I hope you revel in today’s glory and take time to enjoy a cannabis smoke break OR take a whole day off to enjoy the goods, munch out, and binge watch your favorite shows on the tube… Similar to our previous 12 months I suppose. But hey, it’s still a holiday!
It’s been quite a while since our last update. I’m pleased to share that our previous two crops were successfully harvested on 4/1/2021, just in time for the holiday! Each plant weighed out to be 58 and 59 grams, for a total of 117 grams which equates to 4.127 ounces! This is by far our biggest yield!
Interestingly enough, I did a minor experiment with the plants in their early stages. One of the plants was left untouched in its standard grow state, while I attempted to FIM the other. A successful FIM occurs when the grower pinches off the top part of the plant typically after 3-5 nodes develop. The purpose of the FIM is for bushier plant growth while resulting in more flowering sites. Plants that are FIMmed supposedly develop more buds; however, in this case, the all natural plant weighed in by just 1 gram. I look to repeat this process with a few of the plants in this next batch to see if there are any major differences.
Speaking of the next batch, let’s discuss the current grow setup. About 8 weeks ago I attempted to clone 10 of the Banana Hammock plants with only 4 surviving. Despite some turbulence, it appears they are on autopilot at this point, looking greener and healthier by the day.. With that, we also purchased 6 new seeds of a strain called Rawtton, a 50/50 hybrid of Indica and Sativa.. This is an award winning strain by Ethos Genetics, a cross between Chem Diesel and Mandarin Sunset; it elicits an almost, “rotten fruity scent and chemy skunk”…. With those smells, you know it’s the real deal.
With 10 plants in the works, it will surely require a lot more time and commitment as they develop. Despite some delays, the plants were moved into their big homes last week, 5 gallon fabric pots. These mega pots will provide plenty of room for rapid root growth resulting in some beauty plants. We plan to develop and transition all of the plants on a similar schedule, adjusting as necessary along the way.
Anyways friends, that’s all I got for now. I hope you have a wonderful, safe, happy, funny, trippy, and delicious holiday. Thinking of you all, and please remember that I love hearing from you. If you have any questions, cannabis or cancer related, I’d be happy to update and communicate.
Love ya!
